How it Works

Inside SmarterPower is a thermopile with an array of semiconductor elements. A gas burner heats one side of the thermopile to nearly 1000°F, while the other side is kept cool (284°F) by aluminum cooling fins. Heat from the burner flows through the thermopile creating a steady supply of DC electricity. SmarterPower operates on natural gas, propane or butane and features a burner system constructed from high-temperature nickel alloys. SmarterPower features stainless steel cabinets, automatic spark ignition, and an automatic safety shutoff.
